A funny conversation about hashtags during a 1:1 training session with a client in Denmark yesterday got me thinking, how do you choose which hashtags to use on your posts - and which ones are a complete no-no 🙈😂

Here are three things you can do to research hashtags before posting:

1. Research possible hashtags using a generator, competitor analysis and looking at influencer feeds
2. Search the hashtag on insta to check for banned or inappropriate content
3. Choose niche hashtags with under 500,000 posts for lower competition and a more targeted audience

MY CONTENT MISTAKE

I have a confession!

For years I was making a HUGE mistake with my content and it left me feeling frustrated, fed up and on the verge of giving up. I did everything right - posting regularly, curating a cohesive, aesthetically beautiful feed and writing descriptive captions that provided plenty of inspiration. My audience was growing and I was getting likes, but I wasn't reaching my ideal clients or encouraging them to stay, follow and interact with my feeds.

It was a lightbulb moment when I realised that content is so much more than pretty pictures and fluffy captions, it's about connecting the dreams, values and aspirations of your ideal clients with yours, and encouraging conversations where you can build relationships and trusts to convert followers into customers.

Now starting conversations in my feed and DM's is part of my daily content strategy, and I dedicate time each day to getting social and interacting with followers, clients and potential clients online.
